Who is Sarah Huth?

Picture
Sarah Huth is a twenty year old student residing in Pittsburgh, PA. She attended Point Park University for 2.5 years, working towards a B.A. of Fine Arts in Cinema and Digital Arts with a minor in Philosophy, but recently re-evaluated her career goals and is now in the process of transferring to the University of Pittsburgh. Here she hopes to study Studio Art, with a minor in Film Studies, looking to either teach or work in freelance illustration/SFX make-up upon graduation. Perhaps a bit of both? She has been dabbling in the arts since she was very young, and enjoys using a variety of different mediums. Some of her favorites include watercolor, acrylic paint, marker, pen and ink, colored pencil, sculpture (clay), production design (film), set design (theatre), and SFX make-up. She cites Frida Kahlo, Salvidor Dali, René Magritte, Edward Gorey, Tim Burton, Stan Winston, Dick Smith, Tom Savini, and Diane Arbus as some of her greatest inspirations.

Though she feels as though it is not something she would like to pursue as a career, Sarah is still very passionate about directing, and feels that her experience as an actress has enabled her to communicate efficiently with other actors. Her favorite directors include Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Tim Burton, Peter Greenaway, David Lynch, Terry Gilliam, Quentin Tarantino, Henry Selick, Wes Anderson, and Tarsem Singh.

When she isn't busy working on projects, Sarah enjoys reading, watching movies, playing with cute animals, collecting antiques (especially skeleton keys and old photographs), watching LOST, and spending time with her friends. She hopes to one day live in New York and own a pet hedgehog or oversized rabbit.
